School in the Square Talent Selection Process
School in the Square utilizes a rigorous application process to ensure that our rapidly growing organization hires only the best instructional and non-instructional talent. We encourage you to browse our open positions on our Job Board.

After submitting your application through our online application system, we will assess whether your application meets our needs and the qualifications for the position. Typically, you will receive an email from us within two weeks, inviting you to a phone screening or informing you that we do not feel your application is a good fit for our needs at that time.
Candidates invited to an exploratory conversation will be scheduled to participate in a 20-30 minute phone interview, during which our leadership team will have a chance to learn more about your experiences and give you an opportunity to ask questions about School in the Square.
Following the phone screening, candidates may be invited to attend an in-person interview with various members of the school’s leadership team, as well as additional appropriate staff members. While candidates do not need to prepare anything for this interview, we encourage you to bring your professional portfolio.
Candidates for instructional roles will be invited to come teach a demo lesson. Normally, the demo will take place in a typical classroom and will involve approximately 20 children.
The final step for any candidate is a reference check. We will ask you to provide three professional references, including a recent supervisor.
