Ms. Rachel Davis

Support Teacher

Rachel Davis graduated from CUNY with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Rachel is a career changer who started her career in education as a NYC Special Education Teaching Fellow. She taught a 12:1:4 class during summer school at PS X811 in District
75 specializing in serving a high-need population in the Bronx. She participated in a rigorous training program that focuses on Common Core aligned training program utilizing continuous feedback and practice based learning. This experience reinforced her desire to work in education but she wanted to enroll in grad school in order to gain a better understanding of the pedagogy of teaching. Rachel graduated from Hunter College with a Masters in Childhood Education (1-6). She student taught a year of 5th Grade at P.S 198 and one year of 2nd Grade at Talented and Gifted (TAG). She is very excited to join School in the Square to encourage students’ passion for learning and to explore Restorative Justice.
