Creating a culture of care and achievement for families

in Inwood and Washington Heights

Dos Amigos at School in the Square is a Dual Language PreK-3rd grade program dedicated to providing each student with the tools and support to become lifelong learners.  Dos Amigos provides a creative, bilingual immersion program that is designed specifically for your child.

Our Pre-K program hours are 8am-3pm; the after-school program is available 3-5pm. Elementary students attend school 8:30am-3:30pm; our after-school program is available 3:30-5:30pm.

Our curriculum includes:

  • Reading: Designed for biliteracy and dual language settings, our students develop a love for reading through guided leveled, small groups; read-alouds, and independent reading.

  • Writing: Our students participate in guided writing, shared writing, letter writing, and story writing.

  • Math: Our students develop mathematical understanding in stages through real-world, hands-on experiences.

  • Science: Students engage in science through a program that blends hands-on investigations, literacy-rich activities, and a deep dive into scientific concepts that allow for rich discussion and analysis.

  • Social Studies: Community and culturally responsive-sustaining curriculum.

  • Exploration through Creative Play: Through STEAM, movement, art, and music, our students organize, construct, explore, investigate, create, imagine, and interact with the world around them.
