Dr. Simon Obas is a seasoned education leader with over 15 years of experience in the charter school sector. Throughout his career, he has served in a range of leadership roles—most recently as a senior network executive—where he has been instrumental in driving academic excellence, operational effectiveness, and equitable student outcomes across diverse school communities.

A visionary educator and systems thinker, Dr. Obas is deeply committed to building high-performing schools that combine strong instruction, character development, and community partnership. His leadership philosophy centers on the belief that great schools are built through clarity of purpose, data-driven decision-making, and a culture of collective responsibility.

Dr. Obas earned his bachelor’s degree from Johnson C. Smith University, and both his master’s and doctorate from Fordham University.
