School in the Square Summer Boost
Summer Boost is a program supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies. It was designed specifically to help students accelerate their learning in reading and math, and independent research has shown that it works.
Your child spends the summer reading, solving problems, making art, playing sports, and building the kind of confidence that carries into the new school year. Every day includes at least three hours of focused English Language Arts and math instruction, plus enrichment activities.
The program is completely free. We serve breakfast and lunch every day. And we keep things fun. This is a head start, not a punishment.
What We Focus On
- Reading and literacy skills
- Math and problem-solving
- Arts, music, and creative expression
- Sports, games, and movement
