Tempest Whyte is School in the Square’s Chief of Staff. She brings a rare combination of strategic leadership, talent expertise and executional rigor that drives measurable results. Previously, she was S2's Associate Director of Talent and led a full transformation of hiring and certification systems - streamlining processes, raising the bar for selection, and ensuring a stronger, more effective pipeline of high-performing staff.

Tempest's work has directly improved organizational outcomes by aligning talent strategy with performance and long-term impact. Before joining School in the Square, Tempest was a data-driven teacher and assistant principal, consistently delivering significant academic gains and building systems that translate into sustained student success. Additionally, Tempest began her career as an attorney, which brings analytical thinking, sound judgment, and ability to navigate complex, high-stakes decisions. Across every role, Tempest has built a track record of elevating people, systems, and results - making her uniquely equipped to lead at the highest level.
