Jessie Ziegler

Director of Development, School in the Square High School

Jessie Ziegler is Director of Development at School in the Square, bringing more than 15 years of experience as a teacher, school leader, and network leader in public charter schools.

Jessie began her career as a classroom teacher before moving into school leadership, where she ran and set the vision for Achievement First's first 12:1:1 elementary school program, a model built around individualized support and high expectations for every student.

Jessie later moved into network leadership at Ascend, where she oversaw student services, people operations, and employee experience, ensuring students and staff had the right supports, resources, and people in place to thrive.

Jessie now brings that experience to her work in development at School in the Square, driven by her belief that every student and staff member has what it takes to achieve and contribute at a high level when they have the support, structures, and resources to match those expectations.

Jessie holds a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and an M.Ed. from Manhattanville College.
